Prof. Mohammad Adnan Latief, B.A., Drs., M.A., Ph.D., was born in desa Seketi, kecamatan Ngadiluwih, kabupaten Kediri, Jawa Timur, March 04, 1951 to ibu Kasini (alm.) and Ayah Abdul Latief (alm.), with 3 siblings: Siti Nuryani (eldest sister), Drs. Masyhuri Latief (younger brother) and (alm) Mohammad Harun Al Rosyid (the youngest brother)

  4. B.A: in English Language Teaching from IKIP MALANG, graduated in 1975
  5. Undergraduate Degree (Drs.): in English Language Teaching from English Language Teacher Training Program (ELTTP) IKIP MALANG, graduated in 1978
  6. Master of Art (M.A.): from College of Education the University of Iowa, Iowa City, USA, graduated in 1986
